Hayes Patterns for Woodworking

Woodworking Patterns Since 1935.

Full Index of Hayes Patterns  |   What's in a Plan?   |   About Us

Some of you may remember Hayes Patterns from years ago -- that's because in a way they were providing woodworkers like us with project plans in 1935!

Pictured to the right is a copy of one of our earliest catalogs.  We have tried not to raise the prices too much, but 50 cents in postage just won't cut it anymore.

Richard Hayes is the founder and namesake of Hayes Patterns.  When speaking about his plans, Mr.Hayes was confident that "...you'll find a design that will provide you with a pleasurable experience and a finished project in which you can take pride, whether you're a novice or an experienced cabinet maker!"

Mr.Hayes is no longer with us, but we proudly continue the traditions he started by providing our fellow woodworkers with these original drawings and plans.

First, take a look at What's in a Plan to see just what you get with an original Hayes Pattern -- then we hope you'll take a trip into woodworking's past by building a true piece of Americana with a project by Hayes Patterns.  These designs are truly unique and are some of the most authentic American projects you'll ever have the pleasure of making from scratch as a woodworker.
